How fast they grow! 9 weeks to 14 months! #labrador #lab…
I’ve long been a Millican fan, so when I started looking for a simple rucksack to be a smaller alternative to my Tom Bihn Synapse, (a brilliant multi pocketed 25 litre bag) I took a look at the Millican offerings, and was excited to see that their new range of bags included one that seemed to fit my bill perfectly.
The bag has a simple main compartment (albeit with a low profile organizing compartment) with an externally accessible large laptop style compartment and a smaller key/wallet compartment. The roll top closure method is a great one, but I would concede that its not to everyones taste and is not ideal for all uses of the bag.
It is beautifully made, and the new lighter weight and waterproof material that they use on these bags in every bit as high quality as that used on the previous range of bags. The new colour options are great to, and when combined with the general aesthetic add that sense of old fashioned adventure and craftsmanship that Millican have nailed across their ranges.
At 18 Litres it is a perfect size for a daypack or a ‘take to work pack’, and would look equally at home on the tube, on a bicycle, or in Richmond Park. Its very comfortable in any guise, but the great shoulder straps are further complimented with waist and chest strap for use over more active pursuits and if carrying heavier loads.
A great bag from a great company, with a sense of quality that reassures you that it will serve you well for many years to come, perhaps even improving with age and use. Much like my previous Millican purchases they make me want to go on more adventures.
